Vista Verde Partners, and their first fund, VVP SeaBreeze I, was covered today by privateequityrealestate.net, which is managed by PEI Media, one of the leading financial media groups dedicated to alternative assets globally.
The article titled "Vista Verde dives into Costa Rica residential market," describes VVP’s first investment, some investing criteria, and why Central America (specifically Costa Rica) is such an attractive place to invest. The article included a quote from VVP Principal, Dan Putt:
"We have developed a lot of good relationships with real estate developers up and down the coast," said Dan Putt, a principal at Vista Verde. "The fundamentals in Costa Rica are very good even with the weakness of the US dollar."
While the weak dollar at home is somewhat troubling for US prospects, it continues to drive European and Canadian buyers to Costa Rica, giving VVP’s investors unique protection from their domestic currency troubles. VVP’s first fund is well positioned in the Costa Rican real estate market as it continues to flourish.
